9 March – 10 March 2027
Morocco (nationwide)
Eid al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan and is a public holiday in Morocco. In 2027 it is expected around 9 or 10 March, depending on the moon sighting.
Expected date: it depends on the moon sighting or an official announcement and may change by a day or more.
Families gather, dress up and visit relatives, and many people travel, so roads and buses are busier around the holiday. Some shops close for a day or two. Tours can be booked as usual; book a little earlier around the holiday.
