Rep excursions or book locally? A guide for package-holiday guests in Agadir

What usually comes with a rep excursion, what you get booking direct with a local operator, and how to choose.

The short answer

Both work. A rep excursion is the simplest choice if you want everything handled by your tour operator, with your rep as the one point of contact. Booking locally usually suits you better if you want smaller groups or a private tour, a per-person price you can see and compare online before you pay, and the freedom to choose the day and the operator yourself.

With Tamazirtino, most Agadir and Taghazout tours include hotel pickup and drop-off (each tour lists its pickup area), you pay online when you book, and our cancellation policy is published: full refund up to 48 hours before, 50% between 24 and 48 hours, no refund within 24 hours.

How hotel pickup works with Tamazirtino

  1. Check the pickup area on the tour

    Each tour lists its pickup under “What’s included”, for example “Hotel pickup and drop-off (Agadir/Taghazout area)”. Pickup areas differ from tour to tour.

  2. Give your hotel when you book

    Enter your hotel name (or address) in the booking form, then pay online to confirm.

  3. We confirm the pickup details

    The pickup time and place are confirmed after booking. Staying outside the area listed on a tour? Message us before you book and we will tell you what is possible.

How to choose

We are a local operator, so we are not neutral, but there are good reasons to pick either option.

When the rep excursion makes more sense

  • You want your tour operator to be your only point of contact for the whole holiday.
  • You prefer to book everything in one place, with the conditions of your tour operator.
  • The trip is only sold as a group programme you specifically want to join.
  • You would rather not compare options or book online yourself.

When booking locally is the better choice

  • You want a small group or a private tour rather than a coach.
  • You want to see the per-person price and what is included before you pay.
  • You want to choose the day yourself, or decide later in your holiday.
  • You are travelling with family or friends and want to go at your own pace.

Before you book any excursion, check

  • Exactly what is included: transport, guide, meals, entrance fees and activities.
  • Where and when you are picked up, and when you are back at your hotel.
  • Group size, and whether the tour is private or shared.
  • The cancellation conditions, in writing.
  • That your travel insurance covers the activity (for example quad biking or camel rides).

Can I book excursions locally if I am on a TUI, Jet2holidays or easyJet holidays package?

Excursions are usually optional extras, so you can normally choose who you book them with. If you are unsure, check the booking conditions of your own holiday. A tour booked with Tamazirtino is a separate booking with us and is not part of your package.

Do you pick up from my hotel in Agadir or Taghazout?

Most of our Agadir and Taghazout tours include hotel pickup and drop-off. Each tour lists its pickup area under “What’s included”. Enter your hotel when you book; the pickup time and place are confirmed after booking.

How do I pay?

Online only, when you book: with PayPal or a credit/debit card through PayPal. Your booking is confirmed once payment is complete. We do not take cash bookings, so there is nothing to pay the driver or guide.

What if I need to cancel?

You get a full refund if you cancel up to 48 hours before the tour start time, 50% if you cancel between 24 and 48 hours before, and no refund within 24 hours. Special conditions may apply to group bookings.

Can my holiday rep change or refund a tour I booked with you?

No. Your tour operator is not involved in a tour booked with Tamazirtino, so contact us directly by WhatsApp, phone or email for any change. Our office in Agadir is open 24 hours.

What languages do your guides speak?

Our guides speak Arabic, French, English and Amazigh (Berber), and some also speak Spanish, German or Italian. Tell us your preferred language when you book.

Does my travel insurance cover a tour booked locally?

That depends on your own policy, so check it before you travel, especially for activities such as quad biking. We recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, medical emergencies and personal belongings.

Is Tamazirtino part of TUI, Jet2holidays or easyJet holidays?

No. Tamazirtino is an independent local tour operator based in Agadir, not affiliated with any tour operator or airline.
