About This Tour
Catch your first waves in Taghazout, Morocco's best-known surf village. This beginner surf lesson starts with hotel pickup in the Taghazout, Tamraght or Agadir area and a short drive to a gentle beach break chosen for the day's swell and tide. On the sand, your instructor fits you with a soft-top board and a wetsuit, then covers ocean safety, paddling and the pop-up before you head into the water. You spend about two hours surfing in white water at your own pace, with your instructor beside you correcting your position and timing until you stand up. No experience needed: you only need to be comfortable in the water. Afterwards you are driven back to your accommodation.

Beginner-friendly beach
Your instructor picks a gentle beach break for the day's swell and tide, such as Banana Beach, Croco Beach or Panoramas.
Equipment and theory
Get fitted with a soft-top board and wetsuit, then learn ocean safety, paddling and the pop-up on the sand, followed by a warm-up.
Surf session with your instructor
